Eagles Nest Winery and Cottage in Ramona is well known for its distinctive architecture and well maintained estate grounds from the vineyards to the landscaped surrounding of hillside Eagle Nest Cottage.

As visitors drive up to the Ramona Valley, they are greeted by and awe struck by the distinctive granite bolder strewn mountainsides unique to the area and a scenic rural vistas that include groves of old California Coastal Live Oaks to vast grasslands across the valley floor. More and more vineyards are being planted in the Ramona area leverage the areas excellent wine grape growing climate that is ideal for cultivation of premium European grape varietals.

The Cottage is nestled amongst classic examples of the area's trademark bounders, featuring also extensive hillside landscaping including rose bushes, seasonal groundcover, succulents, and water wise plants. The entry patio includes a traditional 3-tier Italian fountain greeting visitors with the soothing sounds of a piazza fountain audible from the adjacent stone covered view deck.

Grape vines are planted just below the deck and adjacent to the Crush Pad to give guests a close-up view of wine grape plants as well as a transition to the vineyards below and to the west. A lush Syrah vineyard is located immediately below the hillside cottage.
